Improve searching to regex dots.

Searching for "Example Show" works fine, but "Example.Show" does not, which makes it somewhat of a chore to quickly search for shows quickly.

Well, I see others have provided good suggestions then, that I hope admins decide to take another look at implementing / changing behaviour.

As explained in the thread Aidan linked, replacing dots with a space in search queries would drastically decrease the quality of search results for shows that actually have a dot in their name (such as S.W.A.T, Agents of S.M.A.S.H., etc). That's not a great tradeoff, so this is not likely to happen.

I hope you guys reconsider, take a look at how others do it, and see that its entirely possible to deliver both great search results AND deliver a better user experience for us that prefer to copy paste the already established way of naming shows in some parts of the internet that currently makes it very cumbersome to use the search on this site. While we both agree that shows doesn't have the dots in their names, and there should be no reason to need to search for something like that, the truth is that that's life for a lot of users of the internet and services like this, its just about making life easier for the users, not inventing the wheel over again.
