Just as I was about to post this I was like "where do I type?", the pure white text box blends in far too good with the background, I feel like it needs an outline like the "Title" bit so people are aware where they're meant to type.?

Anyways, onto the point of the post. I am not sure if I'll stay around here, I only recently registered because FMTV is down and used the import tool, maybe I'll stick around permanent if FMTV doesn't fix itself, I'm not sure but I have some suggestions for the site. I'm aware some of them are already in development or have been posted before, in that case you can consider this support.

Skip episodes: Self explanatory and already in development so I won't dwell too much on this. Support.

'Ignore' shows: If I watch a show then decide to stop but don't want to erase my history or remove the show from list I've watched and don't want to skip every future ep incase I watch it in future, I feel like an option to 'ignore' a show and have it act like you're not following it any more, but you still are and your history is intact would be nice. I used this feature a lot to get rid of shows like Simpsons without having it clutter up my page with episodes I'm not interested in.

To watch list: The way I done it on FMTV since they didn't have one either was follow a show then ignore it so that it doesn't clutter up my page but I have it in my following list as a reminder, but a proper watch list would be neat.

My own personal home page: At the moment, I don't see any "home" page like FMTV's dashboard. There is tvmaze.com but that has a lot of stuff I don't care about (shows that I don't watch in the schedule, articles about shows I don't watch, etc). This is what I miss the most I think, on TvMaze I have to dig through different pages. I want to see shows I've yet to catch up? head to http://www.tvmaze.com/watchlist I want to see shows that's airing tonight? Head to the calendar or the schedule.

Here is how my FMTV homepage, as you can see, everything I want to do is in one place. Next to the unwatched episodes I can also mark as watched or skip on hover.

Friends: I believe this is in development and it's self explanatory so I won't say too much about it.

Profiles: Profiles need an update to show more information like the personal homepage suggestion above. At the moment my profile shows almost nothing compared to http://followmy.tv/u/Saxo/ where you can see shows I follow, episodes i've seen, etc. With FMTV I don't need to list all shows I watch if someone asks me, I can just link them to this http://followmy.tv/u/Saxo/time_wasted . on TvMaze, unless I'm missing something, I'm gonna have to copy and paste all my shows.

Recommended: Using an algorithm based on what other users follow & how many episodes we've watched, a "recommended shows" section would be nice.

Bulk episode checking: When following a new show on FMTV it asks me if I want to mark off all episodes currently aired, up to a certain point or no episodes at all as watched. On TvMaze I have to do all episodes manually. I can also mark off seasons as watched on FMTV on shows I'm already following.

That's all I can think of at the moment after using the site for a short time.

Welcome and thanks for your feedback! It's a lot, so right now just a few small remarks from me.

Ignore shows: You can simply unfollow a show, and your watch history will be preserved. You'll still be able to see the watch status on the episode pages then.

To watch list: Does http://www.tvmaze.com/watchlist not do what you describe? If so, why? :)

Bulk episode checking: You can mark episodes as watched in bulk. Click the watchlist button on any show here http://www.tvmaze.com/showstatus to do so.

Almost everything else you suggested is in the pipeline already, just a matter of time!

Ignore: But that removes the actual show from my watch history, maybe not the episodes but the show itself. E.g if I wanted to keep the Simpsons in my show list because I did watch it but I got bored of it and don't feel like watching it for a while, I'll simply ignore it and never see it again in my "episodes you have to watch" until I want to, but I'm still following it. For example on FMTV I ignored True Detective during S2, I didn't want to unfollow it but I just simply wasn't interested in it at that point in time and will watch it at a later date, but I also don't want it to clutter up "watch list" screen or calendar when new episodes air.

To watch list: Sort of... yes. But that is more of a "Here's a list of shows you're watching and here's what episodes you've still to watch" rather than "Here's some shows you were interested in some time ago if you were looking for some new ones to watch". Semantics, but for example I may plan to watch Elementary and American Dad at a later date, but have no interest in it now. As it stands now, I'd need to have it among shows I'm currently watching. On FMTV I'm following a ton of shows but have them on ignore simply as a reminder that if I'm looking for a new TV show to look into them but I don't want them coming up saying I've got episodes to watch when it airs.

Those two are just small things that can already sort of be done, but isn't done as good as FMTV IMO, the way to ignore anyways. FMTV doesn't have the "to watch list" like I described, but I use the ignore feature as a work around for that. I think those features will prove more needed combined with others like the personalized home page and a more updated profile page rather than the features standalone.

Bulk episodes: Cool, I didn't see that. Still learning my way around the site.

Everything else: Good to hear :)

You'd also be interested to read about tags: http://www.tvmaze.com/blogs/1/organize-your-watchl... :)

Aha, I never saw this. Well I saw it but I didn't think so much of it.. Well, you can ignore my above comments about the ignore and to watch list since it seems you can already customize tags to hide it from your watch list. A friend was also wondering how to ignore shows on here, so I'll send him this link too. That's basically what I was asking for and sort of what FMTV offers but with far more customization. So scratch those suggestions, here's different ones to make the use of tags even greater:

- Exclude tags from watchlist rather than just including. All shows that I'm following appear in my watch list except for ones with the tag "Done with" for example.

- Multiple tags filtering. Show all shows with the tags "Watching", "Catching up", "When I'm bored" in watch list. Exclude all shows with the tag "Cancelled", "To watch list" etc.

I've only messed around with them for literally two minutes so maybe this is possible but I can't see it.

By the way Shield picks up and is 100x better in season 2... I'd pick that show back up :) I say that as someone who originally stopped watching two episodes in.

Edit: Another feature a friend just brought up that would be nice:

- In addition to the skip feature, allow skipping for X days. If an episode comes up that I don't wanna watch, I can skip it for a week (or however many days) as well as permanently, if I choose to skip it for a week it'll pop up again next week.

Edit2: Another suggestion, maybe have a feature to automatically tag a show if it gets cancelled and notify you (if it doesn't already). I asked for the notification on FollowMyTV aswell as I don't keep up with when shows get cancelled due to not being from America. Automatically moving shows that get cancelled to a tag of my choosing would be nice too.

Some more after messing around with tags etc

- Multi tagging. Have a checkbox next to shows that I can click and set multiple as a specific tag at once

- Tags on show pages. List tags on the show pages and allow edits/changes instead of just in "follows" section of the dash board. I suppose the edit could also be expanded to all places where tags are listed.

- When searching for a show display tags if applicable and have a follow button next to the search result instead of going to the page then following. Maybe the follow button could be added to the schedule too?

Tags are great though, good feature. Offers a lot of customization and different types of lists, just need to take them a few more steps further to improve their functionality and usability

Thanks, I agree with almost all of your suggestions :) We were already working on improving the tag system, but got sidetracked after the huge amount of things to do the past weeks. It's pretty high up our lists to work on it!
