After all Hulu is also advertising the new season as season 12 (which makes sense in my view).
As it is right now on TV Maze with the movies being all part of season 5 and seasons 8-10 are completely left out (or skipped) it is totally confusing. 🤔
It's not confusing, Hulu tried to rewrite history. Fox had 5 seasons, then the movies came first and then were split up to air on Comedy Central, and then Comedy Central said they have 2 seasons that were split. When Hulu picked it up, they messed with the episode ordering, but since they don't call it season 8, we can't. And we also can't call CC's episodes as 4 seasons since they didn't.
As TomSouthwell said, their decision was made and won't be changed. It's the only way to honor all 3 networks without trying to change history the way Hulu is.
