Hi, 3 months ago Fringed wrote about the dropdown search no longer working.
At about that time, I had the same problem ( Opera browser ).
I thought it might have righted itself, but no such luck.
So, I allowed ALL cookies for a while and made sure browser would not update. Gave it several days using TV Maze daily but problem is still recurring.
Maybe opening up a new install seems to be the answer. But then I would have to redo all my watchlists, followed shows etc.
Oh well, I guess that's how the cookies crumble.

I still have absolutely no idea why this'd happen though, I'm pretty sure it can't be anything on our end. If someone uses Opera and has a clue, please weigh in :)

Search history on text input like that is entirely managed by your browser. Cookies are not used nor required.

Websites can stop this behavior by using the HTML attribute autocomplete. But TVmaze definitely does not do that.

One weird gotcha I have seen occasionally is that different sites can share their history lists. Sometimes that seems useful, like on e-mail addresses. But if you're not aware of it, deleting search history entries at one site will delete them on the related site too.
