Is it just me or is there nothing to watch on TV anymore?
I know there was covid and then the writers strike and now it's summer the slowest time of year for TV. But when is it going to get better?

I would say netflix and the streamers are releasing quite a lot of stuff these days. :)

Like what? I don't have Netflix anymore and to be honest I haven't even heard of anything worth watching on there lately. But maybe I'm just not in the loop. Juan what do you watch?
I enjoyed Outer Banks and I know that's coming out with new episodes soon but still no sign of when.
I watched Sex Education but that show was difficult to get through. To me just not the most enjoyable of shows.
I suspect covid and the writers strike may have had something to do with it but there's no denying that this has been a slow last couple of years.
HBO has House of Dragon but I found Season 1 to be unwatchable. I loved Game of Thrones except for the last season but House of Dragon is a train wreck. I don't think I'm going to feel any differently about Season 2 but let me know what you all think of it.
Most people I know are just watching old stuff like the X-Files because there's nothing to watch currently.

Seems we got different tastes in TV. :)
Shows I recently watched on Netflix and really enjoyed:
The 8 Show
Sweet Home
All of us are dead
Blue Eye Samurai

I forgot to mention I don't much want to watch shows that are in a foreign language even if they've been dubbed in English because the voices don't match. I have nothing against them. I'm sure they're great and all. I just don't watch them.
I also have a hard time reading subtitles for some reason and even shows that I would ordinarily want to watch are too hard for me to watch. I do make an effort to watch foreign films, but they're much less of a commitment than a series.
I also don't watch animation. So English live action series is what I am referring to.
But there's nothing wrong with your taste in series. Thanks for sharing with me. I had never heard of those, especially that last one which looks interesting.
There's a big explosion of animated shows since 2020's covid policies and lack of live action series. It would also seem that the writers strike especially affected English speaking series.
I trust your tasted in shows though Juan. That's why I asked you.
