when a show is requested its placed in a queue for approval, i figure said show was already in the que when you requested it.

I think you may of misunderstood the situation/question.

I searched for a show "Cold Water". There was no match in the Search Results.

Next thing is to Request the Show, but first check here https://www.tvmaze.com/request to make sure no on else has requested it. No one had - not in the queue.

OK do the work and research as much info as possible so my Request is as complete as possible. Request submitted.

Next day Request rejected because already an existing listing for said show.

Strange as it had not shown in Search Results and was not already on the Request list as mentioned

So checked the Edit log on the show which indicted it had been created/added at 10:11 pm by CosmicHowl - a full hour before I did my search at 11:15 pm. Hence my question about how long it takes for a newly created Show entry to show up, because it is obviously longer then an hour.

Note that the edit log is using UTC as a timezone, so that's most likely not the timezone you're in.

That makes it even more interesting. I am in CET which is UTC + 02:00. So that being said it would appear CosmicHowl added the series an hour after I submitted the Show Request. So it would seem they did not check the Show Request queue before adding it as it was RoseRed that handled my request and not CosmicHowl.

@CosmicHowl adds a ton of new shows as they are announced, it's possible they missed your request because if all they are doing is adding the new shows then they aren't looking at the requested shows, we aren't robots doing every single thing at once. Your request was valid it was rejected because we don't keep multiple show entries. It's an oversight that you may have requested it at hour before Cosmic added it, that's all. I don't think it's that deep or really needs digging into. If you feel like you found something in your research that Cosmic missed when adding the show, you can still add it, 

Exactly this. I was solely adding newly released information from multiple press release sites, not just creating new shows but adding new seasons, cast announcements, confirmed episodes, etc. This is something I do in my free time as a volunteer. It wasn't intentional.

And it is greatly appreciated. I just thought there might have been bug in the system because it seemed strange to have my efforts rejected because the entry already existed and yet at the time of the request the Search Results had no match. Hence my original question

I have a question.  I am brand new, I saw a place I dealt with a very long time ago and ended up here. (for 23.00 I think)  When I went here I was asked who I was and my password.  Strangely (my password program has only been mine for 4/5 years) Anyway my name and password just popped right up!   When I opened this I took a look around and decided that this was a place of downloads.  So, I went hunting for something, I found it, and looked around for buttons to push.  No buttons.  Anyway, I would really appreciate it if I could be sent someplace that might tell me what's going on and where the secrets are.

Thoughts?

We do not house downloadable episodes on this site, only show information. 

Is there a list somewhere for unlisted shows here? Looking to help add some "new to site" or unlisted shows.

No, we do not have such a list, all you can do is search for a title and if it does not appear in the search results make a request to add it. :)
