The Amazing World of Gumball - new series or season?

Magitroopa wrote 4 months ago: 1

Not sure what should be done regarding The Amazing World of Gumball- any help is appreciated:

Today, The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball has been announced, which appears to me, to be an entirely new/separate series. However, a season 7 is already listed here for the original series, listed as premiering this year.

Wikipedia also lists it as a seventh season, and within the article I've found at least two sources (such as this and this) which also refer to it as a seventh season. So should it just stay as a season 7 with The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball added as the name of the season?

Everything I read points to Season 7 so until something to the contrary comes out I'd leave it as we have it and just name Season 7 as The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball.

Alright, so like this?

And if that is correct, should the season 7 name (The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball) be added as an AKA so it is findable through search?

DEPARTURE  already has Alternate for US streaming but Peacock did not add season 3 AND they dropped the first two seasons.  Now (5/18/2025) all three seasons are available on The Roku Channel.  I don't see a way to change this. Can somebody fix this so I can update with the season 3 RokuCh episodes?    https://www.tvmaze.com/alternatelists/234/departure-united-states-country-premiere

Thank you.

(there are other shows that both AMC+ and Peacock just seemed to lose (and customer support had no clue about them) Roku was involved in at least one of them from AMC.  Anywho....this may come up again (I hope))

Replied to wrong place! Sorry. Re-did request.

@RoseRed I recently saw that it was decided to make the show separate here. If that is the case, then some things need to be removed from the original series:

1. 'The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball' AKA

2. Alkaio Thiele, Hero Hunter, and Kinza Khan from cast

3. Matt Layzell, Erik Fountain, and Joe Sparrow from crew (though may need double checking on these- not sure if they were crew on the original series or not)

Handled the first two, can't confirm stuff for the third point.

Thank you. I also came across this edit from a view days ago... Their edit removed Kwesi Boakye, so I've changed it back to him since that appears to be accurate. I'm guessing this can get deleted, as it appears Jake Pratt only voiced in whatever test/early version of the show.
