Subscription - How to disable Auto-renew

Hi,

Considering subscribing to TVMaze but I noticed that on the new subscription webpage it says that once subscribed it will auto-renew this time next year. I an not a fan of auto-renew subscriptions no matter who or what the subscription is for. I would prefer a email to say that I need to re-subscribe.

So if I do subscribe, is there a way of disabling the auto-renew option?

There's no way to do directly what you are asking for, our payment processor simply doesn't support it. However, what you could do is subscribe and cancel your subscription immediately afterward - it'll remain active for a year until the date your subscription actually runs out.

Had a feeling that might have been the only way. Anyway, I've subscribed & according to the email I have until 28th Nov 2026 to cancel (or not).
