Anime is show type or medium not a genre.
This comes up from time to time. I agree we need to re-think that artificial split between Show type and Show genre. The technical way a show was produced or created really has no correlation with the information the show is trying to convey.
Adding a Show medium field might be a good start to get everyone to think about it a little bit differently.
Anime is listed as a genre to differentiate it from other cartoon/animation shows. "Animation" is already listed as a Show Type.

well then can it be applied correctly, ive had to request multiple show remove the tag because they aren't anime. if a show isn't on myanimelist/anilist/anidb then it shouldn't be getting the tag.
