Top Gear questions

It may be time to decide what to do with the Top Gear listing. I set the status back to "Running" as the next episode is set to air May 8 with a new host crew led by Chris Evans (whom I also added to the cast list.) The changes have been reverted for some reason. Top Gear hasn't ended, per the official website Chris Evans is simply the next new host.

If the issue is the show with Clarkson and Co has ended, they weren't even the original hosts! Top Gear has been on the air since 1977, and Jeremy Clarkson has been with the show since 1988.

There is the soon to be added confusion of the Amazon Prime series Clarkson and Co. are producing, which I assume will also be listed here.

So, should the listings be separated out by main host groupings:
Top Gear 1977
Top Gear 2002
Top Gear 2016

Or should it all be listed under one name?

PS someone had added the two-part A-Z specials to the current listing, they are also gone, not sure where they were re-listed.

Top Gear is one show that just happen to have had different hosts throughout the years, so it should all be one listing and anyone seperating them are in the wrong.

The two A-Z specials are just 2 best-of eps and should be added as specials.

The new Amazon show is a different program entirely and thus a different listing.

Cheers. I'm rather new here and didn't want to get in a editing war. :)

No worries. I contacted the person that did it to make him aware.

Welcome to TVmaze though and happy new year!

I want to add those two A-z specials, but they are not part of season 22, or part of the coming season as far as I understand it. How can I add these specials, since I must fill in a season and I can't create a season called Specials, nor can't I leave season blank.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanx in advance.

I think those are the specials you are referring to? http://www.tvmaze.com/shows/10033/top-gear-from-a-...

Yes, those are the ones I was referring to. But according the official Top Gear site on BBC those are specials of Top Gear and not a separate show, so I was expecting them (and rather have them) on the Top Gear show page. And because Aiden wrote:

I wanted to add them as specials to the existing Top Gear show page, and was asking for help with that.

But thank you very much for your reply. If I understand correctly those can't be added as specials (due to the restrictions I described above) but need to have a separate show page. Capice :)

The BBC have a separate site for the two episode series, which is why it's set up separately

Specials could be added to Top Gear itself too, all you need to do is change the ''Episode Type'' from Regular to Special, select the latest season or one before and you could even delete the episode number and leave it blank, however like Tom said in the comment here above, BBC has it listed as a seperate series, therefore it is considered to be a new 2 part series instead of specials :)
