Ratings Roundup Week of February 3, 2019

The Super Bowl and the State of the Union address scrambled network schedules last week with many simply running repeats for most of the week.

ABC renewed several programs last week. The Good Doctor was renewed for a third season. A Million Little Things earned a second season nod. Modern Family was renewed for an eleventh and final season. Shark Tank was also renewed. Things may be getting a bit tense for fans of The Kids Are Alright, ratings numbers are slipping into the danger zone.

CBS also had a bit of renewal news last week, Mom was renewed for the next two seasons. The big news for the network, however, was the Super Bowl. The numbers were huge, and it's easy to see why networks compete so hard to air NFL games, however, ratings were down three tenths from last year. Was it the teams playing or part of the overall trend of ratings numbers? Hard to say. Man with a Plan premiered last week, up a tenth from where it ended last season.

The CW went about its business last week with no surprises. Supernatural fans tuned in for the 300th episode, bumping the numbers up a tenth. The Flash and Arrow were both steady. Black Lightning has been slowly sinking this season, while it was renewed, it will be interesting to see what happens next season with even more superhero shows geared to start next fall.

I heard the same rumor about Carlos. not sure what's going on over there.

Of the shows you listed, Schooled is the only one that might be in any danger, and as long as it stays where it is, it will be fine. All of the others, are safe for another year. :)

The ones I like to watch on CW are coming back next year, yay! Though I'm hearing rumors that Carlos Valdez (Cisco) might not back on the Flash. If so, I might have to boycott. ;) Still waiting to hear/see if The Goldbergs, Schooled, Young Sheldon, and Hawaii 5-0 will be back though. Barring anything extreme, they should be having new seasons next year, right?
