Ratings Roundup for the Week of February 16, 2020

NBC premiered Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist last week in its regular time slot, and the bad news streak continues for new shows on the network. Don't expect this one to last. Good Girls opened its third season low as well. It squeaked renewals in the past and while the rule of thumb is a third season show is never cancelled, Good Girls has never had a full 22 episode season, so the rule likely doesn't apply. About the only thing that could save it is the fact every other freshman show on the network tanked this season. The Peacock announced  The Blacklist was renewed for an eighth season last week. The Chicago shows will all be easily renewed. Manifest will likely squeak a renewal as well.

ABC had a quiet week for the most part. For Life lost a tenth off its premiere, it's chances for a season two are still alive, but it can't lose any more. Station 19 and Grey's Anatomy each bumped up a tenth. Fans of Mixed-ish and Black-ish should be worried, ratings have settled low, and Black-ish, at least, is in its sixth season. Depending on what the network has slated for the fall, it could be on its way out. Stumptown is likely down as well.

CBS had a good week last week. Survivor was up a tenth from its premiere. Back-to-back episodes of Criminal Minds wrapped the series last week. Both episodes were up two tenths from the previous week, so it went out on a high. Hawaii Five-0 and MacGyver each lost a tenth. Five-0 should be an easy renewal, Mac and Company will probably squeak another season as well. NCIS will be back, along with both spin-offs, though the move to Sunday night has not helped NCIS: New Orleans so far. While there have been numerous cast changes for the show, more than the other two series' certainly, losing Lucas Black may be more of a hit than the producers anticipated.  Tommy was steady but low, don't expect anything after its initial run. God Friended Me sank hard once football was finished; its future is iffy at best.

FOX premiered Duncanville last week. Its numbers were in line with the rest of the animated Sunday fare, assuming it doesn't lose anything, it will probably be renewed. The network salted the wound for any remaining Almost Family fans last week by burning off the last two episodes on Saturday night. The show is done. 9-1-1 Lone Star was steady and should be renewed easily. The Resident is safe for another year, as is Last Man Standing. Prodigal Son lost a tenth but will probably be renewed. Deputy's chances are going to depend a lot on what the slate looks like for the fall. If the network has the schedule space, it may squeak a renewal.

I saw a few series of Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist. I liked it.

But I didn`t finish watching.
