Ratings Roundup for the Week of May 3, 2020

ABC wrapped up its Tuesday comedy lineup last week. No real surprises ratings-wise, each of the shows was even with its previous new episodes. ABC has not released any renewal news as of this writing. Chances are though, For Life is probably cancelled, along with The Baker and the Beauty. Mixed-ish and Black-ish are both low-rated as well, and could be gone by next season.

Unlike previous years where CBS was the last to announce renewals, this year it was first (technically the CW has not made the call yet on Katy Keene, so the Eye takes the finish line first this year). Bit of a surprise Man with a Plan was cancelled, ratings have been pretty good. CBS did announce three new dramas for next season, a remake of the 1980s The Equaliser starring Queen Latifah. Clarice, based on the Clarice Starling character from Silence of the Lambs. And B Positive, a dramedy about a man searching for a kidney donor. Stay tuned to see how they all do next season.

FOX announced renewals for Family Guy and Bob's Burgers last week. No real surprise for either series. The network loves that Sunday night animated lineup and animation is about the only thing not affected by virus lock downs. Celebrity Watch Party premiered last week with low numbers. Even for a cheap, reality series those numbers are anemic. Don't expect it to last beyond the initial ten episode order.

The CW wrapped Riverdale and Dynasty as it aired the last of the filmed episodes it had for each show. As for numbers, the ratings were identical to the previous week. The network still hasn't said one way or the other if Katy Keene is renewed, though the safe money is on renewal.
