FOX feasted on football ratings last Sunday and premiered Next Level Chef following the game. Unfortunately, not many of those Sunday viewers carried over to the show's regular night where the show was about even with its numbers last season. Farmer Wants A Wife opened its second season about where it ended last season. The Floor picked up a few tens of thousands of viewers and will likely be renewed. We Are Family lost one hundred thousand viewers. TMZ Investigates lost one hundred thousand viewers off its premiere.

ABC wrapped the fifth season of Press Your Luck last week. The show's ratings improved over the course of the fall and winter and will likely be renewed. The question will be if the gameshow remains part of the fall/winter season or shifts back to summer programming next season. ABC previewed the fourth season premiere of Genius: MLK/X to middling numbers. The Bachelor lost a few tens of thousands of viewers off its premiere.

NBC had another good week from the One Chicago and Law & Order franchises. Fans of Quantum Leap should probably start worrying. The rebooted time travel series was the only fall drama not to receive a renewal slip before the December hiatus. (Magnum PI had been cancelled before the season started). The Raymond Lee-fronted series pulled half the viewer numbers as freshman series, The Irrational, last week making it the lowest-rated drama for the network by a significant amount. Night Court bounced back, picking up a hundred thousand viewers. Extended Family was even.

In past seasons, trends would have pointed out the shows secure in a renewal or certain for cancellation by now. With the schedule scrambling as a result of the WGA and SAG/AFTRA strikes, some shows won't even premiere for another couple of weeks. Upfronts (assuming they happen) could be interesting come May.
