Prior to The Big Bang Theory, Kaley Cuoco was best known to television audiences for her role as "Bridget Hennesy" in the series 8 Simple Rules.
Cuoco began her acting career at a young age, modeling and appearing in commercials. Her first TV role was in 1992's Quicksand: No Escape opposite Donald Sutherland. She landed her first feature film role at the age of 8 in Virtuosity. Her other film credits include Picture Perfect, Can't Be Heaven, and Lucky 13. She also appeared on stage in community theater productions of Fiddler on the Roof and Annie.
Cuoco starred in the cable movies Fat Like Me, Crimes of Fashion and The Hollow, and was seen in the miniseries 10.5. Her other television movie credits are Alley Cats Strike, Toothless, Attack of the 50 Ft. Woman, Growing Up Brady, and the miniseries, Dean Koontz's Mr. Murder. Additionally, Cuoco lent her voice to the animated series Brandy and Mr. Whiskers and Loonatics Unleashed.
Recently, Cuoco starred opposite Rob Lowe in the television movie Untouchable: The Drew Peterson Story. On the big screen, she was seen in the 2011 family comedy Hop opposite James Marsden and Russell Brand. Cuoco will soon be seen in The Last Ride, an independent film which has been screened at several film festivals throughout the country.
Cuoco is a gifted tennis player who also hikes, runs, rides horses, goes to the gym and spends time with her rescue dogs. She is involved in several charities, including EBMRF, Friends of Animals, the Humane Society, the Elisabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, Animal Avengers, and PETA.
