It was SEMI FINALS week in the Tent, and the four remaining bakers’ patisserie skills were put to the test. The Bakers had to raise the baking bar starting with an elegant French patisserie signature and a buttery French classic technical followed by an Italian celebration cake made up of delicate puff pastry layers. It was week 8 in the tent and the Bakers popped on their party hats and started off with a bake that has graced party tables up and down the country for decades, the good old sausage roll! It was week 7 in the tent and the Bakers come head-to-head with desserts. They kicked off with a retro Crème Caramel signature and tackled a classic Treacle Sponge in the technical. For the first time ever in the series it was Botanical week and the Bakers tackled bakes inspired by nature. The Bakers were faced with a spice filled signature, a herby technical and a floral dessert showstopper. Press Release Provided by Channel 4 Press

In week five it was Pastry Week on The Great British Bake Off and the Bakers tried to avoid soggy bottoms at all costs. There were signature savoury Picnic Pies, a classic French rough puff pastry technical and a stunning decorative sweet pie Showstopper. Who had the upper crust and who crumbled under the pressure? The nation’s most famous tent was pitched in the grounds of Welford Park once again. Presenters Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond came to lead the latest batch of 12 bakers through thirty brand new challenges set by Judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith, in 10 episodes. Bakers Revealed for The Great British Bake Off Series 14

It was confirmed today that Alison Hammond will join fellow presenter, Noel Fielding and judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood in the famous tent for the next series of The Great British Bake Off, which will air on Channel 4 later this year. No stranger to the famous white tent, Alison previously appeared as a baker in 2020 for Celebrity Bake Off, but this time around she’ll welcome the Class of ‘23 to the nation’s best loved baking show from the other side of the counter.

Farewell Bake Off! It’s been a delicious experience and I can’t imagine a more fun way of spending my summers. But it’s become clear to me that I can’t present both Fantasy Football League and Bake Off alongside all my other projects. So, after three series and 51 episodes, I am cheerfully passing the baguette on to someone else.

Sky Studios has confirmed that the 11th season of The Great British Bake Off is two weeks into production and is likely to return to our screens later in 2020. Like almost all other TV productions, Bake Off was derailed by the COVID-19 pandemic and there was speculation that the much-loved Channel 4 bakery competition wouldn’t return until 2021. Bake Off is produced by Love Productions, which is now owned by Sky Studios.

Actor, writer and comedian Matt Lucas will be joining Noel Fielding and judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood in the Bake Off tent.

Channel 4 and Love Productions have today confirmed a new two series agreement for The Great British Bake Off – extending the successful creative partnership until 2021. The tenth series of Bake Off will be broadcast on Channel 4 later this year, with a further two series now confirmed to follow.
