Yeah that image is not close to being good enough. Which you already knew as you brought it up on the previous episode as well.

Please familiarize yourself with our image guidelines before adding any more images; https://www.tvmaze.com/faq/16/episode-extras#gallery

Got it. Thank you!

Obviously two shows has not "been merged just because it has the same host" (and fyi, the first three seasons of EE aren't even hosted by Danny Forster, so that claim is highly illogical.) This is in fact the same show. The fact that Discovery and its franchise channels airs some of it under multiple titles doesn't make it multiple shows. The five seasons of BiB all aired as EE first, as seasons 4, 6, 7, 8, 9. And as we all know, TVmaze lists the original airing once, and not revisions of history, thus duplicating entire pages of information.

Now, if the production company lists them separetly as well, it is probably simply due to production & copyright reasons.... for instance, the five seasons rebranded as BiB aren't only hosted by Danny Forster, he was also involved as an executive producer to them, as well as other crew credits.

I could make further comments regarding this, but it's fairly well-known (even added to the show wiki years ago by someone). I actually also watched some of these episodes many years ago, wondering why they all felt familiar, before realizing it wasn't just deja vu, it was in fact rebranding, something Discovery is quite known for.

Info about Danny Forster was my bad because of info from IMDb

Is this the Wiki you are referring to? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extreme_Engineering

If so, if my English is good enough "After ending of season 3 it airs under the Build It Bigger name on HD Theater, The Science Channel, and Discovery Channel." would mean exactly what it says... that it aired under Build it Bigger and NOT under Extreme Engineering. (This would mean that your statement of "The five seasons of BiB all aired as EE first" would be wrong as they only aired as BiB)

This would also explain why it's impossible to stream or download ANY Extreme Engineering episodes from Season 4 to 8. When I see a screen cap from any BiB episode with EE in the show's intro (https://docuwiki.net/images/d/d0/Extreme-Engineering-Cover.jpg) I'll stand corrected.

Also... according to ALL the sources (IMDb, TVmaze, TheTVDB, TMDB, etc...), ALL episodes of BiB (S01 to S05) first aired the same day as the seasons 4 to 8 of EE, so your statement of "I actually also watched some of these episodes many years ago, wondering why they all felt familiar" sounds very far fetched.

Edit: if anyone has proof that the 5 seasons of BiB ever aired as EE, I'll STFU and I'll stand corrected.

Edit 2: Sorry, but at as a documentary archivist I need proof that the 5 seasons of BiB ever aired as EE before I rest my case.

Edit 3: Screen cap of BiB S01E01 (AKA EE S04E01) https://imgbox.com/2rFQWoNX

Can someone correct the title with the proper "Wild C.A.T.s: Covert Action Teams"? I've already registered two alternative spellings ("Wild C.A.T.S: Covert Action Teams" & "WildC.A.T.s: Covert Action Teams"). Unfortunately you don't have a field to let us explain each alternative title's origin... For example, I just registered two Hellenic titles, the 1st & the 2nd VHS title, which with the same 1st VHS having been released in Hellenic television too, but here we have just two Hellenic titles... Ok, I understand you're not a database but it gets handy to those who try to discover sources of dubbed or subtitled versions in their native language and besides watching material, we mark our collection here or those productions we try to discover. I'm feeding such data almost every day in "The Movie DB", but alternative titles are not shown publicly without being a member that have to edit such each entry. So unless a platform like yours gets data from those databases by API presented that publicly, that information "does not exist"... In case you want to improve this database by creating that field...

I changed it to the full title they use in the show intro, Jim Lee's Wild C.A.T.S: Covert Action Teams :)

Really Aidan?? You're going to ruin this title too? And that was officially the last time I requested a title to be changed by you. Never again. If you are not able to understand which part is title, which is the name of a creator used as a brand name (in COMICS in our case, cause this is TV adaptation!) or which part is the brand name of the main production company or an imprint, we don't have nothing else to discuss.

One of the longest running science shows I love has got me all messed up: Nova

https://www.tvmaze.com/shows/3321/nova

In cleaning up my library of OTA recorded shows and putting them in Plex, I have found huge differences in the seasons and episode numbers on TVMaze vs. Nova's PBS site:

https://www.pbssocal.org/search?q=nova&f0=0000018a-aa08-d78b-a1ef-eecc9d300000&p=2

vs. TheTVDB listings

https://thetvdb.com/series/nova#seasons

In spot checking the air dates, the show titles seem to match, but the season # and episodes are way off. Does anyone have a way to reconcile this?

TIA

I think this came up several times before, the problem is that the network rewrote history on that show many times. Correct me if I am wrong @Aidan @TomSouthwell

Yeah I think so @Muddytoy , going to bring in @tvjjbj12 here too since he's maintaining the current episodes.
