Fergus McFadden

Honest with a wide smile and good heart, Fergus is the moral centre of the series but suffers from a deep sense of insecurity and doubt. He knows he owes his job to Roy Macy, who, after Fergus' father drowned when he was young, took him under his wing. He's acutely aware there are those who don't believe he has what it takes to be a cop and doesn't deserve the honour of wearing the badge. Deep down, Fergus thinks this too. When Anna returns it stirs up mixed memories for Fergus – some good, some unsettling. Still, his loyalty is strong and he stands by her against the hostility some locals aim at her. This loyalty is then tested when another local girl goes missing on the very night Anna reappears, in eerily similar circumstances.
