Upon returning to Hawaii to investigate his father's murder, decorated Naval officer Steve McGarrett is recruited by the Governor to head up an elite new police task force - his rules, her backing, no red tape. Their first case involves tracking a weapons dealer connected to McGarrett's father's murder.

This show is by far the best in terms of police crime dramas. I was genuinely sad when it ended and has always been my go-to example for how a show in this genre should be and in general. Everything from the characters, to the film quality, to the sets. Hawaii has always been a fascination for me for the beauty and the culture and this show does a great job showcasing it all while providing a riveting story. The depth of the characters as the show progresses is so rich and exciting. A must for everyone.
