Episode Discussion

I couldn't disagree more with you both. I just finished binging (again) and I enjoyed this series. I've personally seen several times where old farts mop the floor with those much younger. It may not be likely, but it's not impossible. Perhaps you confuse their actual age with the age their characters play. Besides, it's a story of old timers going old school helping the ones you love. It ended on a cliff hanger, so I'm sad they didn't finish the series. It had a complex story, unlike the "Real Housewives of XxXx" or whatever other nonsense seems to be so prevalent on TV, and maybe that's it, 'this doesn't seem 'real''.... perhaps reality TV is more to your liking.

( in reply to mileso from 4 mo ago):  Ha!  I would win a wheezing contest & I'm younger! Now I'm glad I missed Lithgow on a horse.  That's just wrong.

I watched season 1 actually thinking this was planned to be one season. Then two long years later season 2 shows up. Honestly I don't know if I tried s2e1 and yawned and gave up...OR after so long, I just didn't really remember a whole heck of a lot so didn't even try*. Never watched s2. Guess I'm ok/fine/happy with it being cancelled. Goodbye Old Man

(*There are some UK, AU, etc series that are really far between seasons but I continue to enjoy)

The first three episodes were well put together but Bridges became less and less believable as the superior force in CQC (close quarters combat). Listening to him wheeze while not exerting himself and then watching him get slammed around by someone 30 years younger than him with no long term effect, even on his breathing, is more than I can accept. Then to see Lithgow riding on a horse! I laughed out loud! He's a year older than me ...
