Mrs Hall schemes to bring the boys together and sends them to Pumphrey Manor after an alarming report of an escaped animal from the matron of the army convalescent hospital. Meanwhile, James hopes to reassure a worried Sid Crabtree when he's called out to treat a sick cow.
