This show is subversive. I started watching it because John Cena was such a goofball in The Suicide Squad, and it looked like a fun parody of other super hero franchises, which I've pretty much lost interest in. But underneath all the violence, profanity, and black comedy lies a pretty touching story of friendship, morality, and what really matters in life - plus some great music and dance numbers. No word yet on whether there will be a season 3, but after the cliffhanger ending to season 2, I hope James Gunn's plan for the DCEU includes more stories involving these characters.

I was very pleasantly surprised by how good this was. On a side note: I thought the season 1 theme song was a brutal earworm until the end of Season 2. I hope i can get rid of it soon.
