“High Fidelity” starring Zoe Kravitz has been canceled by Hulu after one season. The series was a gender-bending, modern reimagining of the 2000 film starring John Cusack, with Kravitz playing his role. She starred as Rob, a pop culture-obsessed owner of a record store. Jake Lacy, Da’Vine Joy Randolph and David H. Holmes rounded out the cast of the lone season, which was critically praised.

As far as I know, most critics liked it. I get it might be hard to film a season 2 in NYC anytime soon, but they could've just delayed it a few years... but maybe Zoe Kravitz is busy with future projects too - who knows why it was cancelled..
If I'm not mistaken it also was well received by the critics ... not that critical acclaim means anything vis a vis audience approval but at least it wasn't trashed by the snooty critics
Taste is subjective, and of cource not everyone likes the same shows. This show had a pretty good audience and most people I known really liked the show.
Um, maybe they started developing 'taste'?
I'm so mad. This vas so good, why would they cancel it!?
