After months of will-they-or-won't-they uncertainty, CBS has decided to renew NCIS for a 19th season. Most crucially, the network also locked down star Mark Harmon to stay aboard the procedural, which continues to rank as TV's most-watched drama series.

Glad to hear this about Mark. He may do cameos rather than being an active participant. He is 70 years old after all. He may do what David McAllen has been doing with Ducky. David is 88. Been a fan since The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
I think if Mark Harmon had of decided not to return, it would have been the end of this show. He's been the main character since before the show even began (on JAG).
I have been a fan of his since he was on St. Elsewhere.
Wonderful! Hopefully, NCIS and Mark Harmon will give several more excellent seasons.
Well damn. I can't imagine working on the same show for 19 years in a row.
