Born in Chicago, Illinois, Barbara Alyn Woods began her acting career in a 1988 episode of Sable, and continued to appear in small, single episode roles for nearly a decade, before earning her first major part as Diane Szalinski in Honey, I Shrunk the Kids: The TV Show which hit the airwaves in 1997.
