John Agar was born in Chicago, Illinois and was the oldest of 4 children. He was 6" 1' tall. He was married in 1945 at the Wilshire Memorial Church to Shirley Temple who had been America's child sweetheart. The marriage put John Agar into the public's eye and quickly gained him a movie contract.
