Ted Nichols

Ted Nichols, or Theodore Nicholas Sflotsos, is a music director for Hanna - Barbera productions. He has Greek lineage.

He is credited with an instrumental music piece meant for Scooby Doo... Where Are You! opening and closing credits. It aired with the opening of What a Night for a Knight, the closing of Hassle in the Castle, Which Witch is Which?, and A Night of Fright is No Delight. It appeared by itself in only one episode: A Clue for Scooby Doo. Part of the tune is heard during all the title cards through The New Scooby-Doo Movies, and in some rebroadcasts includes vocal effects such as Shaggy speaking the show's main title, and Velma & Scooby gasping, or otherwise complaining. It can be found in clips on Youtube, and is necessary to search Ted Nichols's stage name as well.

Ted spend most of his life moving across the United States, spanning Montana, Washington, Florida, Texas, New York, California, and many other places. He founded the Corpus Christi Youth Symphony, and returned to teaching during production of "The New Scooby Doo Movies".
