Born in Harlem and raised in the Bronx, Kevin started performing at age 9 in productions at Butler Memorial Methodist Church. He continued to mature as an artist while attending the Bronx High School of Science and serving as the president of the Black organization for social strength.
After graduating with his Bachelors of Arts degree from Hunter College City University of New York, with a focus on Method acting and period styles, Kevin began his professional acting career in Shakespearean productions such as Hamlet, Macbeth, Henry V and Henry VI parts I & II. He continued his training at T. Schreiber, HB Studios and the Barrow group. At this time Kevin modified his focus to a more spontaneous and impulsive form of acting. He started training in improvisation at the Upright Citizens Brigade and in the Meisner Technique with Terry Knickerbocker at TK Studios. This period was the transition towards more naturalistic, contemporary work in lead roles, like Walter Lee Younger in "Raisin in the Sun" and Rooftop in "Our Lady of 121st Street," and numerous graduate student films at Columbia University, NYU and the New York Film Academy.
Most recently Kevin has Directed "A View from the Bridge" at the Height's Players and has worked steadily on television in CBS' "FBI: Most Wanted" as Detective Colin O'Malley, Comedy Central's "Awkwafina is Nora from Queens," as Kent, and many more.
