Born in Van Nuys, California, Cindy Williams graduated from Los Angeles City College with a major in theatre and began her professional career in national commercials. She first appeared in a 1969 episode of Room 222, and it was in 1976 that she landed the role of Shirley Feeney in the classic sitcom Laverne & Shirley.
Cindy Williams died following a brief illness at the age of 75.
