Born in Burbank, California, Jennifer Grant is the daughter of actors Cary Grant and Dyan Cannon. Following her father's wished that she not become an actress, she graduated from Stanford with a degree in American Studies, and went to work at a law firm, and followed that with a job as a chef at Wolfgang Puck's Spago restaurant. Her father passed away in 1986, and in 1993 she landed her first screen appearance in the recurring role of Celeste Lundy in Beverly Hills, 90210
