Born in Rockford, Illinois, Andra Martin grew up on a farm, attended school in her hometown and studied dramatics at Northwestern University. Moving to New York she modeled while continuing part-time acting studies under the tutelage of Lee Strasberg. Her 1957 film debut was in Street of Sinners, where she is credited as Sandra Rehn. The following year she appeared in The Lady Takes a Flyer, where she began using Andra Martin.
Andra Martin passed away at age 86.
