Lauren Powell is an actor and playwright based in Chicago, Illinois.
She graduated from the School of Theatre and Dance at Northern Illinois University and continued her training at Actor's Movement Studio in NYC.
Since moving to Chicago, Lauren has been staying busy with on-camera work while writing. Her play, The Condition of Femme, saw its world premiere in March 2018. She won Best Actress for her role in Happy Hour at the 48 hour Film Festival, and debuted in Season 8 of Chicago Fire.
Most recently her play Elephant Circle was a semi-finalist at The Ashland New Plays Festival.
