Billy Postlethwaite

Billy Postlethwaite is an English actor born William John Postlethwaite in 1989 in Shropshire, England. He is the son of Oscar-nominated actor Pete Postlethwaite and former BBC producer Jacqueline Morrish. After growing up in Shropshire, he trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art from 2008 to 2011. Postlethwaite made his professional stage debut as Grigory in Collaborators at the National Theatre and later played the title role in Macbeth. His television work includes The Suspicions of Mr Whicher, Midsomer Murders, Foyle's War, Holby City, Game of Thrones, Chernobyl, Beforeigners and The Winter King. His film credits include Tomb Raider, Sam Mendes' 1917, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, 7 Keys and William Tell. Postlethwaite plays deputy Hank Murphy in Apple TV's dystopian science-fiction series Silo, becoming a main cast member after recurring during its first season.
