Born in Waipahu Ewa, Hawaii, Tom Villard grew up in Spencerport, New York and attended Lee Strasberg Acting Theatre and the American Musical Academy in the early 1970s. Relocating to Los Angeles in 1980, he soon started landing roles on stage, in film and television, continuing to perform until his death in 1994. His earliest credit was in a 1980 episode of CHiPs.
