Jim Thurber is an American reality television personality best known for appearing on Discovery Channel's Gold Rush. A member of the original Hoffman crew, Thurber joined Todd Hoffman's Oregon-based mining team during the show's first season as they traveled to Alaska to pursue placer gold mining. He continued to appear with the Hoffman crew in later seasons and was also featured on related Discovery programs, including Gold Rush: The Dirt and Gold Rush: Freddy Dodge's Mine Rescue.
