Born in San Francisco, California, Lisa Bonet lived most of her life in New York and Los Angeles, began acting in commercials at the age of 11, and at age 16 she landed the role of Denise Huxtable in the hit series The Cosby Show. In the mid 1980s Lenny Kravitz entered her life, their relationship intensely scrutinized in the media. Following their divorce she pulled back from high-profile stardom, began dating yoga instructor Bryan Kest and legally changed her name to Lilakoi Moon, although still using the name Lisa Bonet for her entertainment career.
