Miriam Silverman

Miriam Silverman is an American actress, acting coach, and theatre professor at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. She was born in 1977 in Manhattan, New York.

After studying acting at Brown University, Siverman started her professional career on stage in numerous off-Broadway productions including The Public Theater's production of Hamlet in 2008. In 2013, she was nominated for the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Actress in a Play for her performance as Natalie in Finks by Joe Gilford. She made her Broadway debut in the Ayad Akhtar play Junk in 2017. She returned to Broadway in the 2023 revival of the Lorraine Hansberry play The Sign in Sidney Brustein's Window portraying Mavis Parodus Bryson for which she won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play.

Silverman is also known for her recurring role as Bernice in the Amazon series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and her performances in Hulu's Fleishman Is in Trouble (2022) and Amazon's Dead Ringers (2023).
