Claire King was born in Harrogate, Yorkshire, England as Claire Seed. Claire changed her name from Claire Seed as there was already an actress with this name in Equity, the British actors' union; she says the name "King" comes from her love of horse racing (the sport of kings) and Elvis Presley, of whom she is a big fan.She is an actress, known for Bad Girls (1999), Emmerdale (1972) and A Reason to Leave (2016). She has been married to Peter Amory since July 1994.
