Born in Ashland, Kentucky, Chuck Woolery left the University of Kentucky to enter the U.S. Navy. He began his entertainment career as a singer and musician, even landing a top 40 hit in 1968 with 'Naturally Stoned' with his group, The Avant-Garde. He landed a few small roles in series such as the 1972 New Zoo Revue and the 1973 Love, American Style. In 1975 he landed his first job as a game show host on Wheel of Fortune, and in 1983 he took on Love Connection which he hosted for eleven years.
Chuck Woolery died at his home at the age of 83.
