Robert Gilbert

Robert Gilbert is a British and American actor and musician. He was born in 1988 in Hammersmith, London, UK. He holds dual British and American citizenship, he was raised between England and the United States, and continues to work between the two countries on stage (Royal Shakespeare Company, West End, Lincoln Center NY, Shakespeare in the Park) and on screen. He releases music under the name Captain Backfire, writes for other artists through publishing house Notting Hill, and stars in his screenwriting and directing debut Real Thirsty alongside Bryan Cranston and Joely Richardson. He is known for Gulliver's Travels (2010), Sinbad (2012), Royal Shakespeare Company: The Two Gentlemen of Verona (2014), Ready Player One (2018), and Killing Eve (2022).
