Born in Marquette, Michigan, Susan Diol graduated with a BFA from Otterbein College, interning her senior year at Pat McCorkle Casting in New York, which led her to move to New York City. Her early credits begin in 1986 with an appearance in The French Connection 3, followed by the role of Cheryl on The Cosby Show in 1987 and the recurring role of Claudia Garrison in the 1988 series Hothouse.
