Kadia Saraf

Kadia Saraf is a Swiss-Israeli actress, writer and producer, born on November 9 in Bern, Switzerland. Of Swiss and Yemenite-Israeli heritage, she spent much of her childhood in northern Israel before returning to Switzerland, where she earned a degree in civil engineering. She later moved to Tel Aviv and worked as a paramedic and ambulance driver before relocating to New York City in 2004 to pursue acting. Saraf appeared in Rescue Me, Blindspot, The Blacklist, Counterpart, The Good Fight, FBI: International, Blue Bloods and The Better Sister. She gained wider recognition as U.S. Attorney Anya Avital in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and its Organized Crime crossover, and co-wrote the SVU episode "Jumped In." Saraf became a series regular as NYPD Detective Claudette Wallace in Dexter: Resurrection. She is also a trained martial artist and won Israel's national Kenpo Jitsu championship title in 2001.
