Son Yaz - Episode Guide

Public Prosecutor Selim Kara receives an unexpected offer from the organized gang leader Selçuk Taşkın, whom he arrested eight years ago. Selçuk Taşkın will testify in return for the Prosecutor protectinghis son Akgün Gökalp Taşkın. Akgün Gökalp is a crazy firecracker, walking in the footsteps of his father, messing with people he shouldn't be involved with, and his life is in danger. On account o his job, Selim lives alone in Istanbul, away from his family. His wife Canan, his daughter Yağmur and his son Altay have been living in Çeşme, İzmir for the past four years. Selim takes Selçuk Taşkın's son under his protection somewhat reluctantly, but due to family problems, he returns to Çeşme. He is forced to return to his family with this troublesome young man to save his marriage. Akgün Gökalp, on the other hand, realizing that his father has chosen to become an informer is angry that his father has taken away the one thing he had left him, the force of his name. So he is not ready to go willingly with the Prosecutor. Things get even more complicated when he learns that Selim Kara is the prosecutor who arrested his father years ago.

Selim and Akgün have moved to Adalet Sitesi, right across from Canan's house. While only Altay from the Kara family welcomes Selim's surprise visit, Canan and Yağmur are unforgiving. Canan wants a divorce because Selim has been basically absent form their lives and she asks that he accompany her in telling the children about the divorce. Selim realizes that it will not be easy to convince Canan this time. He asks the happiest couple he knows, Emel and Metin, to help him. While Emel takes her sister's side, Metin will help his brother-in-law Selim, albeit secretly.

While Akgün tries to escape to Chios with the help of Yağmur, a surprise awaits them in the middle of the sea. When Selim learns that Akgün enlisted Yağmur's assistance, he is alarmed about the safety of her daughter. He decides to take Akgün away from his family. They set off for Istanbul.

Halil Sadi offers to fulfill Akgün's wish to flee abroad in exchange for his assistance to locate the witness Latif Coşkun, who is in Selim's hands. Yagmur is sad about the break up with Kaan. Kaan, on the other hand, has also fallen to pieces. The break up causes a fall out between their mothers Meanwhile, Metin realizes that Serap is in trouble and tries to help out. Selim cannot handle his realization that Fatih, a mutual university friend of the couple, also a lawyer, has been so closely invovled with his family in his absence. On top of that, when he hears Fatih's job offer to Canan, he goes crazy and pressures him to withdraw the offer with a visit to Fatih's office. However, seeing how enthusiastic Canan is about returning to work, Selim regrets what he has done and tries to support her efforts to return to work in other ways. Akgün, who sees Selim's efforts for his loved ones, is very impressed. He is now at a threshold where he will have to decide between betraying Selim or not.

Akgün sees the photo of Selim and his mother. He asks Selim if he knew his mother and Selim conceals the truth. Thinking the worst, Akgün's feelings toward Selim take a hundred eighty degree turn. Yağmur notices Akgün's sudden change and wants to learn what happened. Yağmur's persistent concern with Akgün moves their relationship to another level.

Canan has learned Akgün's true identity and is very angry with Selim. Demanding that Selim and Akgün leave, Canan moves to Emel's with the children until they do. Selim is very upset because of Canan's move on the one hand, and the failure of his operation, on the other hand. But he is not willing to give up on Akgün. Despite having actually caused the failure of Selim's operation, Akgün feels for the Prosecutor and his troubles and discreetly leads the Prosecutor to clues that save the day. Akgün is now being pressured to learn Latif's location by Soner. Yağmur backs off from Akgün's attempt to kiss her but cannot succeed in staying away from him. Altay's disappearance after the revelation of Canan's resolve to get a divorce, brings Yağmur back to Akgün.

Pressured to kill Latif, Akgün tries to find a way out. But Soner threatens Akgün with Yağmur's life. Akgün must find a way through this deadlock... Unable to endure the pressure he is in anymore, Akgün bursts out at Selim, who had lied to him about his mother. When he learns that Selim did not force his mother into any action and acted honourably at every turn, Akgün falls apart. He does not know how to make amends to Selim. Selim searches high and low for his runaway witness, Latif. Canan suddenly finds herself in a position to help Selim find his lost witness. Will this potential cooperation help them reconcile?

Blaming herself for the death of Latif, Canan is wrestling with the traumatic effects of witnessing the incident. Although Selim tries to console Canan, he is also seriously burdened by the event. While Akgün is worried about Yağmur, he receives the news of his own father's death. Selim takes him to Istanbul to attend the funeral. Although Akgün has said that he will not forgive his father, he finds himself mourning his father's death. But his grief is soon overcome by a surprise. Returning from the funeral, Selim is quickly chasing the mole. Akgün cannot bear the guilt of the lies he has told Selim and decides to return to Istanbul for good. Yağmur does not want to accept Akgün's decision. Akgün, on the other hand, is unaware that he is about to walk into Selim's trap prepared for the mole, when he tries to settle a last score before leaving for Istanbul.

After learning about Akgün's betrayal, Selim decides to turn Akgün's life into hell. Selim can't arrest him for being a mole however, he decides to put him behind bars for shooting Ahmet with the intent to kill. In the meantime Selim is suspended for an alleged hit on Fatih in the parking lot of a hotel. Akgün is ready to be punished. But when he goes to court, an unwanted defense from an unwanted lawyer gets him off all charges and he is released. Akgün is released despite confessing to being guilty in the court room but he does not intend to leave without making amends to Selim. He takes it upon himself to clear Selim Kara's name and to reveal the conspiracy against him. Of course, he has to do this without being seen by Selim, who now can't stand him. Canan, on the other hand, is aware of her husband's situation. It's Canan's turn to take care of Selim. While Akgün is trying to solve the conspiracy against Selim, his path once more crosses with Yağmur, who wants to solve what happened to his father in her own way. Yağmur will have to make a difficult decision. She realizes that to prove his father's innocence, she might need to consent to Akgün's methods.

Akgün saves Selim's life. Although Selim is angry with Akgün, he decides to give him a chance after this incident. He says that he will not go after Akgün, that he can go his own way. He is free now… However, Halil Sadi has other plans for Akgün. Akgün is about to embark on a new and dangerous path that will surprise everyone. While Akgün's choices bring him face to face with Prosecutor Selim, Yağmur is torn between her mind and heart. The attack on Selim's life has scared the Kara family, especially Canan. While they are all going around with police protection, Canan asks Selim to make radical decisions about his profession. While Selim evaluates Canan's wishes, a surprise development between the two pushes Canan to make a decision alone.

After Selim sees Yağmur and Akgün holding hands in the same room, he becomes very alarmed. He decides to set up a meeting between Akgün and his father to convince Akgün to leave Izmir. However, Selim's real problem is Yağmur. Yağmur's pursuit of Akgün will also upset Canan and Selim's relations. The button is pressed for Selim's execution. A conspiracy against Akgün is taking shape. Prosecutor Selim Kara will be shot with Akgün's gun, and with the evidence, the murder will be pinned on Akgün. Akgün figures it out and realizes that Selim's life is in danger. But when he comes to save Selim, it is too late. Knowing that the incident extends to Halil Sadi, Akgün tries to deal with it with his own methods. But things don't go as Akgün planned, and he sinks deeper into trouble. Will Yağmur be able to prevent Akgün from making a big mistake?

Selim learns that Akgün, who surrenders to him, was actually trying to save the prosecutor's life. It is almost certain that Akgün will go to jail because of the evidence against him. Meanwhile the news of the suspicion of murder against him is spreading in the media. Selim decides to hold off on arresting Akgün until they catch the real assassin. In the process, he will temporarily hide Akgün in his house.

Akgun is acquitted and now he embarks onto a new life. He promises Selim and Selçuk Taşkın that he will not get involved in bad business and decides to revive the place they acquired with Soner and Eray. He contacts a famous performer he knows from Istanbul and persuades her to give a concert at their venue. Yağmur is very happy that Akgün is out of trouble. He has little intention of taking his father's implicit warnings to stay away from Akgün. On the other hand, while living under the same roof with Selim, Akgün knows that he cannot get close to Yağmur, but has difficulty holding back. When Akgün realizes that he cannot resist his love for Yağmur, he will have to make a serious decision. Selim, on the other hand, catches the murder suspect, Cemal, by hiding the details of his operation with Akgün. Gaps in Selim's story make the police question his credibility, and an investigator is assigned to investigate this incident. Canan is sure that Selim is really in trouble this time and takes action to stop it.

Yağmur is caught off-guard by Akgün's marriage proposal. Akgun explains that he cannot just ask the prosecutor to let him go out with his daughter but he can certainly show his seriousness about the relationship by asking for her hand. Although Yağmur is worried about her parents' reaction, she does not want to disappoint Akgün either. Although she herself is not convinced about the idea of marriage, she lets Akgün go ahead with his plan. Akgün hates having to lie to Selim about his relationship with Yağmur so he wants to ask for her hand and get it over with. Canan is in a difficult situation because of the photos sent by Halil Sadi. If the photos are leaked, her reputation as a lawyer will suffer greatly. Halil Sadi will do everything in his power to prevent Selim from getting useful evidence from Cemal. Selim does not want to endanger Canan and for the first time decides to bow down to Halil Sadi's threats. However, Canan is very angry that she is being used in this manner and asks Selim not to yield. Meanwhile, the investigator assigned to Selim arrives. The investigator, who has clear prejudices against Selim, thinks that Canan also had a hand in the incident. While Selim and Canan try to fend off their troubles, they come face to face with Akgün and Yağmur's marriage idea.

Akgün and Yağmur are trying to get used to their new situation after separation, but they are both miserable. Akgün pursues the story behind the photograph and convinces Selim to meet with his father. But Selçuk Taşkın's reaction to the photograph is very harsh. Akgün's suspicion increases. When Kaan hears that Yağmur and Akgün have separated, he immediately uses the opportunity to try and get closer to Yağmur. Learning of Kaan's move, Akgün goes to tell him to stay away from her; but Kaan's bad mouthing of Yağmur leads to Akgün beating Kaan up. This  results in a toxic confrontation between Fatih and Serap, on one hand, and Canan and Selim, on the other. Turning the fight into an opportunity, Fatih takes Akgün to court. Selim and Canan take action together to save Akgün from going to jail. Canan becomes Akgün's lawyer. Meanwhile, Selim learns that Selçuk Taşkın has made a call to Halil Sadi. When he confronts Selçuk, he learns a surprising truth.

Akgün is in prison. Selim knows that Akgün's life will not be safe in prison. Halil Sadi's men will not leave him alone. Canan and Selim are doing everything to get Akgün out as soon as possible. However, when it is certain that Akgün will remain in prison at least until the hearing, Soner, who does not want to leave Akgün alone, decides to go inside. While Akgün and Soner are protecting each other inside, Akgün gets information about his brother from an inmate.

Although those around him are suspicious of Gökhan, Akgün is happy to have found his brother. After learning about Selim's father, Canan feels much closer to him. Selim, on the other hand, moves with greater determination against Fatih and starts to search for Korhan's body. Meanwhile, Soner, who finally got out of prison after Naz pressed Eray, is sure that Gökhan is an impostor. With Yağmur's support, Akgün also falls into doubt. A surprise name emerges from the revelations of Selçuk against Halil Said. Realizing that Metin's father, Boran Yaman, is in a relationship with Halil Sadi, Selim follows him as well, and an unexpected name appears before him as Boran Yaman's lawyer. Fatih finds himself cornered. A surprise move from Serap saves Fatih from Selim's hand. Meanwhile, Yağmur takes the DNA of Gökhan and Akgün, which is hidden from everyone, and begs Selim for a test. Akgün will experience a great disappointment about his brother.

Akgün is very regretful that he beat him until he was hospitalized. He thinks that Gökhan will never forgive him and decides to recover Gökhan's confiscated car make it up to him. Soner and Eray will also help Akgün. On the other hand, Yağmur approaches Gökhan to soften him up about Akgün. Gökhan realizes the strength of the bond between Yağmur and Akgün and tries to rattle it. Gökhan's move setting up Akgün with another woman causes Yağmur to question her relationship with Akgün, while Akgün will begin to question Gökhan's sincerity.

Akgün Gökalp Taşkın, who has started to feel like a part of the Kara family after his birthday, despite reservations, begins a secret relationship with the daughter of the family. Even though Selim finds out about the situation, Yağmur does not allow Selim manipulate Akgün's conscience. Yağmur is determined to live this relationship out without asking for anyone's permission. Aware of everything, Canan's reaction to Akgün will be very different.

While Akgün sets out with Gökhan to find out what happened to Yağmur, Selim gives a statement about the bribery incident at the police station. All distraught, Akgün informs Selim that Yağmur and Kaan have been rushed to the hospital. While Kaan and Yağmur are in surgery, Selim has already started investigating the incident with the suspicion that this incident may be sabotage. When Akgün learns that the incident was a sabotage against him, he decides to find the perpetrator and punish him. Gökhan, on the other hand, is always on the alert so that his identity is not revealed. When Yağmur wakes up, she cannot remember the moment of the accident. Kaan's situation is more serious. For Gökhan, the danger has passed for now. When the news of Selim's dismissal comes, Canan asks Akgün to do everything to get the surveillance videos which will no longer be given to Selim. Akgün goes after the saboteur with the help of Soner and Eray. In the moments when he learns who he is, Gökhan realizes that Yağmur is about to remember the event. When Gökhan realizes that the circle has narrowed for him, he embarks on an irreversible path.

Gökhan's aim to kidnap Selçuk Taşkın is to reveal a family secret from the past by confronting Akgün and his father. But this reunion was not meant to be. Selim and Canan sit down and talk about their relationship after Yağmur's kidnapping. Canan is on the eve of making radical decisions about her relationship. Meanwhile Yağmur and Akgün dream of continuing their relationship from where they left off but there is one obstacle in front of them. Akgün's older brother is still alive and missing. Will Akgün ask his brother to account for his actions? Or will he listen to Yağmur and let him go? The big day is approaching. Selçuk Taşkın is taken under strict security measures to testify in court against Halil Sadi. But Halil Sadi, who could not silence Selçuk Taşkın through Gökhan, will do his best to prevent Selçuk Taşkın from appearing in court. Will Selçuk Taşkın be able to testify in Istanbul? Will Selim be able to rebuild his family life? Will Akgün let his brother go?

Selim continues his life alone in Rize. He has distanced himself from his children, from reality and from everything else. He does not even speak with Yağmur and Altay, who live in Istanbul. Selim's retreat will be interrupted by a surprise visitor. Called to Istanbul for an important mission, will Selim be able to return to life? What can bring Selim back, who avoids even seeing his children? How will Akgün figure in Selim's return?

Akgün and Selim are together again. Accepting Sare's offer, Akgün and Selim are now in great danger. The most important thing to do now is to secure Akgün's release and get him into the underworld as their mole. Selim has a plan for this. He also goes after Canan's real killer following Sare's clues. Sare is glad that everything is going as planned, but Soner and Naz will upset all plans. Yağmur and Akgün will find themselves in a brand new equation. Life, which is already difficult for Akgün and Yağmur, will become even more difficult with the intrusion of Cihan Sancaktar.

With Soner's shooting, Emel realizes again how much danger her daughter is in. However, Emel's and Selim's efforts to take Naz away are futile. Naz is now a member of the Sancaktar Family. Akgün takes steps to protect Soner and Naz. Meanwhile Selim investigates Sare's true intentions.

Selim tells Akgün that Sare is after them and immediately makes a plan to save Akgün. Sare will not give up easily. Akgün will try to draw his own path as Selim and Sare wrestle against each other with their clever plans. Selim is ready to sacrifice himself for Akgün and his children. Cihan Sancaktar uses Naz and Soner to reach Yağmur. This situation makes Akgün jealous. The tension between Yağmur and Akgün increases. When everyone is about to disperse again, Altay will bring them together.

Selim finally confronts his past and questions his behaviour towards his children. He decides to start all over for the sake of his children, but will he be given a second chance? Sare's ulterior motives are revealed, will she finally get Selim Kara? Akgün finally comes clean to Yağmur; can she accept him back into her life? Will Soner and Naz be able to build a life despite Soner's past? Will the Kara family survive in one piece despite the death of Canan?
