Angus MacGyver will soon be taking on his last mission. The CBS action drama, a reimagining of the 1985 series, is coming to an end. MacGyver‘s five-season run will conclude with a series finale, which will air Friday, April 30, in the show’s regular 8 PM time slot.

Cusick will play Russ, a lead opposite Lucas Till’s MacGyver. Russ is handsome and quick-witted Oxford-educated ex-military who is a master manipulator and salesman — skilled in propaganda and lie detection with an extremely high emotional intelligence. A very wealthy man, he’s used to getting his way and not beyond enjoying the spoils of war: expensive suits, fast cars, private jets, house in Monte Carlo.

Desi will continue to have MacGyver‘s six as the CBS drama heads into its fourth season. Levy Tran, who joined MacGyver in mid-February as Desiree “Desi” Nguyen, has been promoted from recurring to series regular for Season 4.

The actor is set to exit the network's MacGyver reboot, on which he has co-starred since the pilot. Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that the CSI grad had an altercation in October and stormed off the show's Atlanta set despite having several remaining hours of production remaining for the day. Eads is currently in production on the drama, and his final episode is slated to air sometime in 2019.
