The difference is, that a series that is cancelled after the pilot was "intended" to be a show, but it got cancelled after the pilot.
A one-off was never intended as a series :)

That's not possible, since they're playing the same character. And the character can have only one main photo.

you are correct, but as it is the same character, we can only use one character image for it, sorry.

As Tom said, you need to fitst add the persons to main crew, after that you can select them and mark them for the episode, please pm me, if you got further questions about it. I added them to main crew.

Seems to me the database should be changed to accommodate for different photos or use (1) and (2) after the character name to differentiate them. Just a suggestion.
