It's in 'Data' pinned to the top and will almost always be in the Active Threads list.

Anyway, it's been done.

Such as the OP saying “fantasty”. :)

Is it a mistake though? Fantasy is not only elves, fairies and bearded dudes with hammers. How would you describe a series where events taking place in an afterlife? Sci-fi? ))

it’s a show based in “hell”…. there’s magic stuff happening all the time. Not sure what qualifies it as family vs fantasy. Just saying….

I think family and fantasy would fit both.

not sure, was just going from the OP’s comment.

I changed it to family, as those are the same genres listed for the show over at IMDb..

who knows maybe fantasy would fit too, but remember three genes is the limit however. :)

How is it “Family” more than “Fantasy”?

Most of the series takes place in an afterlife, with an angel and his counterpart.

Only a few flashback scenes could possibly be described as being about “Family”.

Do we blindly follow whatever users has added to IMDb?

bungle wrote 8 years ago: 1

they both sound fitting but like i said, three is the limit.

bungle wrote 8 years ago: 1

except for anime shows. they get an exception :P

I am aware of the three genres limit, hence my question:

How is it “Family” more than “Fantasy”?

Examples of shows with genre “Family”: “The Goldbergs”, “Family Ties”, “7th Heaven”, “The Middle”, etc.

“The Good Place” isn’t even remotely related to any of those shows.

Otherwise, we might as well use the “Family” genre on “iZombie” too, as it is about as much about that as “The Good Place”. ;)

I’d say, that of the three listed genres “Drama” is the less appropriate for this series. Family-Comedy-Fantasy will fit much better than Drama-Comedy-Family.

And I want to ask the heads, again, to make genre descriptions public and easily available. Preferably as a part of a policy. Now it is buried somewhere in the TC forums. But since anyone could assign a genre to the series, anyone should have access to it.

I don't think it would be beneficial to ask '‘heads'‘ to publish descriptions for genres as only David and Jan are able to do so, which are both admins :).
