Cormoran Strike miniseries

Based on this press release, it seems that they are considering those episodes as 3 separate miniseries. So I'd suggest to rename the one already existing in "Strike - The Cuckoo's Calling", as listed on the BBC Mediacentre site, with episode titles like "Episode 1/2/3". Then create 2 new shows called "Strike - The Silkworm" and "Strike - Career Of Evil" (tentatively following the style of the first one).

Alternatively, I think we could keep the one already existing, with 1 season of 7 episodes called "The Cuckoo's Calling - Episode 1/2/3", " The Silkworm - Episode 1/2" and "Career Of Evil - Episode 1/2". I suppose it may seem less correct, but somehow more accurate.

Please let me know your thoughts, so we can all proceed accordingly before updating data back and forth several times. Also in this case, I think it will be usefull to report the decisions in the series Editor's Wiki.

Thanks!

Hm. In the beginning of the press release they calling it "a major new TV series for BBC One." And in the next sentence they calling it The Strike Series.

We could: a) consider it as anthology series called The Strike Series; b) have it as three separate mini-series under their real names (without any made up prefixes); c) leave it as it is until we have more information from BBC, which would help us to choose between a and b.

My read of that release is it is one series (The Strike Series) in three different parts (The Cuckoo's Calling, The Silkworm, and Career of Evil) So the series would be called The Strike Series and each season/series would follow one of the names for the parts.

This is from the Radio Times, a tv listings magazine published by the BBC,

When is Strike: The Cuckoo’s Calling on TV?

It has been announced that the first episode of JK Rowling’s mystery thriller (adapted by screenwriter Ben Richards) will begin on Sunday 27th August at 9.00pm on BBC1, with the second episode airing the day after on Monday 28th August.

That’s the August bank holiday weekend, so expect a Strike-filled couple of days.

Following that the next three episodes of this seven-part series will air on the 3rd, 10th and 17th September.

Soooo, from that, I would say list all episodes under one listing here, with each relevant episode being episode "Cuckoo's Calling - Part 1", "Cuckoo's Calling - Part 2", "The Silkworm - Part 1" and so on...

So what's the correct name of the series? Strike as in Radio Times article, or The Strike Series, as in BBC press release?

More like Strike, 'cause in the BBC's program guide the first installment is called Strike - The Cuckoo's Calling.

From the digiguide website, which got its listing directly from the BBC today: Strike - The Cuckoo's Calling (Drama) Sunday, August 27th, 2017 on BBC 1 London from 9:05pm to 10:05pm. Drama series based on the novel by Robert Galbraith. Cormoran Strike, an injured war veteran turned PI, and secretary Robin Ellacott seek the truth surrounding the mysterious death of supermodel Lula Landry.(Widescreen, Subtitles, Dolby Digital 5.1, Audio Described)

And then there's the official press pack released 2 days ago: http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/mediapacks/strike

So, even more confusion about what to call it, HAHA!

Why it always should be so complicated? )))
