Could this be changed to 2020? This episode was originally listed for July 13, 2021, but it was actually July 13, 2020, as per this press release and this website.

The First 48 Seasons are off per here https://play.aetv.com/shows/the-first-48. Seasons 22 as listed should be season 23. Not sure where things got weird but could be around season 21 on the official site that is listing 53 episodes in that season.
found this where it was addressed before. Looks like there may have been an issue where A&E listed a different show as being The First 48 but later split it. They decided at the time to just make the new episodes match what A&E was doing and not change the past. so maybe we should just update the season to 23 and leave the rest? I'm no expert.

It seems A&E has rewritten history, so we should leave it as it is.

But if A&E is now publishing season 23 episodes and has been for some time then why would we want it to be listed as season 22? On a go forward everything is inaccurate. It would be preferrable to have present accurate and past inaccurate right?

The problem is that networks rewrite history very often, our policy says we follow the listing at the premiere airing. Only if you would have a press release at hand that contradicts that, we would change it.

Usually that's the case. But according to the link you provided, the schedule shows that the episode started at 8:55 PM EDT and ended at 9:50 PM EDT on HBO. So the runtime of the episode is indeed 55 minutes. :)
