No, Mark's character isn't Tanu's son ... he is the real Botpleng and the biological son of the family.
Book's character (who only was called Botpleng after the dead of the real Botpleng) is Tanu's son or Tontharn.

Revealing this information is a massive spoiler that would ruin the entire series for someone by accessing the show page.  You are right that capturing it as tanu's son wasn't correct either.  
TV Maze offers some guidance on handling secret identities, and that is why I included the real name in the AKAs since last week. 
Out of a lack of better option, I have changed Mark's characters name back to Pleng, but let's please also try to be somewhat responsible by not including massive spoilers like you did by editing the main character information.

“Stayer”. Can’t follow what’s happening here. Only just aware of this show and enjoying, but SBS lists it as having two seasons and there are no entries under TVMaze. TVDb and elsewhere say it started earlier (2024). Cheers and thanks!
