According to imdb and other sources, they cite the first episode of this season of The Good Place as a single longer episode instead of two different episodes as it is on TVMaze. Should the first two parts be merged?

no, as per our policy, it aired with separate credits and titles making it 2 separate episodes.

Look at the edit log, the fourth genre was added 2 days ago. The same person were adding it to the several other shows recently.
